Ask Father
This feature provides a Catholic Priest to answer any questions you might have concerning issues of Faith (what Catholics are to believe) and Morals (how Catholics are to live what the Church teaches). Ave Maria Singles recognizes that our visitors and members may have questions, concerns, problems, dilemmas, etc. that they are trying to work out or come to terms with. Therefore, we have provided a spiritual board of directors made up of Catholic priests who are loyal to the Holy Father, understanding, knowledgeable, compassionate, and direct. They are completely qualified to tend to your every need.

If you have a question about marriage, preparation for marriage, annulment, divorce or your particular situation with respect to a future marriage, post your question below. It will be sent by private email to one of our priests, who will respond privately to your email address. Ave Maria Singles™ recommends this for anyone in need of advice or help with the annulment process.

Our priests are not employees but volunteers who are helping on their own time. This means they will not be familiar with the specific policies or inner workings of our service. These kinds of questions might be better answered by Customer Service or Tech Support. We also offer an Ask A Counselor service, for questions that you would like to direct to a Catholic counselor.

Commonly Asked Questions

I was divorced and have applied for an annulment. Is it okay for me to sign up for Ave Maria Singles™ now?
No, it would not be appropriate to sign up for this service until you have an annulment in hand. To do so would be a trivialization of marriage. Until you have an annulment in hand you should presume that you are still married in the eyes of God. It’s true that most, as many as 90% of annulment applications are granted, but sometimes they are not. What happens to a couple who have proceeded to enter a courtship and then found that one or the other could not get an annulment? I urge you not to date until you actually have an annulment, and not to date anyone else who is divorced and does not have one. In fact, sometimes people refrain from getting an annulment so that they can have an excuse not to marry.
