| My knowledge of Ave Maria Singles started back about seven years ago, 2001. I can still remember first logging into the site and looking over what Anthony Buono had put out. I'm more results oriented, so I looked at the success stories, to see if anybody on this website actually found anyone! I was pleasantly surprised to know that many, many had! I also noticed that only one out of 100 were actually from the same state. I couldn't get myself to comprehend that there may be other places to live outside of Green Bay, WI. Those kind of stories were for "other" people. (Although I have to admit they sure did seem happy and solid together.....) Besides, I met someone from the Catholic church locally not long after that, and decided that it looked good and gave that my best shot. Two years later, I had bought my own house, got engaged. Then three weeks before the wedding, it went bust!! Yeah, some people say they never saw it coming, but yeah, I did. It didn't take long for me to be determined not to let it slow me down. I used the next two years to help myself grow stronger in Christ and His Church. I changed jobs and moved out of Green Bay, with a resolve to never move back. Even if the real estate market wasn't so good, I'd rent my house out until I could sell it. I joined the Diocese of Marquette, and found it to be much more in line with the Vatican's teachings than what I had been accustomed to, and that was great!!! A few months later I decided that it would take me about 4 years to get acclimated to my new town and the people in it. It was then I was convinced to go on AMS, with the full intention of making it work, but acknowledging that it may be years before I meet someone that I could marry on this site...but I kept thinking that it was very possible that it could happen within a month! Well, it was expensive early on, but after reading the success stories, this was the site where I could find a truly devout Catholic woman out of all the Catholic websites. I liked the privacy, and I felt comfortable with my knowledge of myself and what I was looking for in a wife. It was only one month into it, and I was corresponding with a few different women, and only one at a time. The dropped off one by one. I took a vacation out to Tucson, Arizona to meet my aunt, her twin daughters, and uncle. I hadn't seen my Aunt in 10 years, and never met my cousins or uncle. Well, God must have been working through that time, 'cause after I went to a whole bunch of sites out there in Arizona, and it was great! Well, it was about 3 weeks after I got back, I started a new correspondence. It went fizzled after 3 weeks. That was okay, I just moved on. Shortly thereafter, I recieved a letter from Angeline. I saw her picture first out of anything, and....Wow! Those eyes said a lot. I was looking for someone like that for a long time. What's this???? She's from Tucson, AZ??? What did she see me somewhere? The answer was, no, she didn't. I noticed she actually grew up in Poplar, Wisconsin, near Duluth, Minnesota. Well, I needed some time to think about it, but based on her wording with what she had written, told me so much about herself. She was into cycling, so was I....She loved to sing and dance, so did I. Well, I must admit that I was a bit intimidated by the Doctorate in Opera-Vocal Performance she was persuing, and didn't know if I was able to keep up....well she told me that several things on my profile "Resonated" with her, and wanted to talk. I wrote back, telling her that several things on her profile "Resonated" with me as well!
